Who is that beautiful bride in the banner photo?

That beautiful bride happens to be our daughter, and one of the reasons From Engaged To Married exists today.  To create and officiate our daughter's wedding was one of the most incredible things we have ever done. We treat every one of our couples like a family member, and we listen to their love stories. The results are sentimental and magical ceremonies that will be in your memory for a lifetime.

Where do you officiate weddings?

We officiate ceremonies EVERYWHERE! Venues, hotels, homes, we even do destination weddings and travel abroad (travel fees may apply). We have Miami wedding officiants, and we travel anywhere your wedding ceremony will be.

What do I need to get married in the state of Florida?

To become legally married in the state of Florida you have to apply for a marriage license and be 18 years and over. A Florida marriage license allows a couple to get married anywhere in Florida, no matter the county the license was issued from. To obtain a marriage license, Florida residents need to apply in person at any courthouse and provide:

  • Identification: a picture ID such as a driver's license, state ID card, or valid passport; both parties will also have to provide their Social Security numbers, but do not need to provide their Social Security Cards.

  • Fees: $93.50. Marriage license fees can be reduced by up to $32.50 if you complete a licensed Florida pre-marital course.

All state of Florida residents have a mandatory 3-day waiting period before the marriage license becomes effective, or the option of attending a 4-hour premarital course. The marriage ceremony must be performed within 60 days of the issuance of the license. After the marriage ceremony, the original marriage license must be returned to the county where the marriage license was issued.

Please see the links for your county below for specific information on obtaining your marriage license, most counties are issuing licenses by appointment only.

What are the requirements for Out-of-State and International residents?

If you are Out-of-State residents, couples must have valid photo identification such as a driver’s license, state identification card, government or military identification card, or a passport. If both are non-Florida residents, you can get your Florida marriage license on the same day.

If you are International residents, you must provide a valid photo passport. There is no waiting period for International residents.
